What we do and don't do
This page copies sentences that are already in the Privacy Policy. These are not new promises. If anything looks different, the Privacy Policy is the reference.
The sentences below are translations. The Privacy Policy is written in Korean, and the Korean text is the original.
What we do
LinkStar processes only the information needed to make and show pages.
A connecting IP address is turned into a value that cannot be traced back to the original IP, and is kept only in server memory. When converting it, the server mixes in a random value it created when it handled its first request. After 60 seconds (1 hour for reports, inquiries, guestbook posts and update sign-ups) it is no longer used, and it is not written to any storage device. It disappears when the server restarts.
When the retention period ends, or when a page or account is deleted, the matching D1 rows and the bytes of photos and audio are deleted. Deleted data can remain for up to 7 days in the D1 recovery record (a database recovery feature provided by Cloudflare).
Users can ask to view, correct, delete, or stop the processing of their own information (a request that we stop using it). Please send requests to view or delete data, to delete photo and audio files, and to exercise other rights to classicmate@classicmate.app.
When the terms or the privacy policy change, we post what changes and the effective date on the home page and at the top of the terms and the policy from 7 days before they take effect. Changes that are unfavorable to users are announced from 30 days before. The first time you come in after the effective date, the consent screen shows the changes again. However, while the operator is the only user who has agreed to the terms, a change can take effect without advance notice, and that fact is written in the change history.
What we don't do
We do not store IP addresses or cookies that could identify visitors to a public page in the database.
The visit and click totals contain no IP addresses or cookies that could identify visitors.
From the User-Agent we take only the name of the app the visitor came from, add it to the totals, and do not store the original text.
We do not store the original browser information.
We do not receive your Google password.
LinkStar has no AI features, and we do not use accounts, page content, photos, or visit records to train AI.
Good to know
A page you publish can be seen by anyone. We recommend that you do not post sensitive information such as health, religion, or political views.
